Reviews
Excellent pizza, very nice environment! Service was a little lacking to attention. My drink stayed empty more than full. But considering the amount of tables vs staff I'm very happy. Would definitely recommend!
Naples is one of the "energetic centers" on Main Street Mullica Hill. Always a good crowd. Good quality Italian food. Good drinks (try the Apple Cider Mule in fall!). Attentive service from servers who know the menu well. Main floor, the atmosphere is cozier, busier, and louder, with open kitchen, bar, and people coming & going . Upstairs is more spacious and often not as crowded. Been here several times, can recommend the lasagna (huge portion!), stuffed shells, pizza (best in town!), and pasta with sausage & broccoli rabe. Naples is a staple in The Hill! ššš š·š»
Naples is a family owned bar and grill specializing in Italian dishes and pizza. The bar air has an industrial chic vibe with several TVs. They have dining areas on multiple levels but the main dining area, on the main floor, is a relatively cozy, casual area to the right when you arrive.
We dropped by on a Friday night, just after 7, and the theme of our experience was slow service. We were initially told, by the host, that they were just clearing off tables and itād be a few minutes. 25 minutes later they sat us downstairs. We ordered the calamari, chicken and broccoli pasta, and Chicken Fiorentino - baked chicken topped with spinach, prosciutto, mozzarella, and homemade marinara. The soup/salad took 20 minutes to hit the table, 30 minutes in we finally received the calamari, and the entrees arrived roughly 45 minutes after we ordered.
Honestly, the food was solid and the portions were huge. Specifically, the calamari was freshly fried with cherry peppers, the marinara was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was tender. That said, the speed of service (Iād assume part of the bottleneck is the kitchen) is just too slow. Even our glasses of wine took over 10 minutes. Unfortunately, in reading other reviews it seems we arenāt the only guests whoāve had this experience. Ultimately, good grub served in a restaurant that needs to be more efficient.
UPDATE! -REPLY to owner's response... We did NOT order anything additional, whatsoever! We ordered and received exactly what was listed on the menu and not a condiment more, we even said no to ketchup; your statement is a complete and total lie! Yes, I asked to sit in the back area where there were PLENTY of open tables, so what? There was NO big party while we were there, lol! You did NOT refund the $0.75, you refunded $0.15, you are lying and I have the receipt to prove it! I checked your website and under the 'Disclaimer' it states in black and white: "We do guarantee that all items and prices that appear on our menus at the restaurant are accurate, though it may occur that some items on the menu may be unavailable on occasion". WOW - you can spin lies out of the absolute truth from someone who calls you out on overcharging. How many times a day do you do this to your customers? .............BEWARE OF THE PRICES!- they are charging whatever they want despite the prices listed on the menu! Two of us were from out of town and decided to stop in for lunch. We both ordered sandwiches listed at $13.25 each. The bill came and we were charged $13.75 for one and $13.50 for the other. When we asked why the bill was different than the menu prices, we were told "everything went up and we would have to buy new menus". What kind of excuse is that for ripping people off. We were told "it says in the menu prices are subject to change". Who reads every single word on a menu front to back, especially the fine print? Does that little statement give this place permission to charge whatever they feel like without disclosing to its customers before placing their order? How do these places keeping getting away with this? Why print prices at all? It was a difference of $0.75, but imagine they do that (or charge even more for other menu items) to just 50 people a day, day after day? The bug climbing up the wall right next to us wasn't particularly pleasant to look at either. Lost our business and hope others wake up as well!
Stopped in for lunch after having massages. Had sausage and extra cheese pizza. That had to be one of the FRESHEST pizza weāve ever had. And I mean everything tasted fresh. The dough/crust, the cheeseā¦absolutely fresh. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The feel of the place is comfortable.
I truly hope I have her name right, I believe our server was Madison. She was fantastic! Friendly, quick and observant. She made our first time here very pleasant! The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back!
The best late lunch spot!
The service and the food were wonderful.
Our meals were large, cooked to perfection and tasted great. I started with a spicy Bloody Maria then had the eggplant parm. The hubs had the roast beef sandwich.
It was all so fresh and yummy.
We will be back!
first time at location. took forever to get a seat when there was only 1 family before us. not sure what this restaurant is well known for but the pizza was just okay. my wife had a pasta dish that she said was good. I had the Buffalo calzone. it was good but I wish they gave me a side of sause to go with it to dip.
